The best BBQ’s are cooked on a clean grill. We have put together a few handy tips that will help you keep you BBQ clean and prolong its life.
Before cleaning your BBQ you should check the Manufacturers Manual for cleaning recommendations. To reduce the risk of fire or explosion, you should routinely perform the following safety checks:
- Check hoses for cracking and leaks.
- Move gas hoses as far away as possible from hot surfaces and dripping hot grease.
- Never pour lighter fluid or gasoline on a propane or gas grill
- Do not use your grill in a garage, carport or under a surface that can catch fire.
When lighting a grill, keep the lid open.
Empty and clean the grease tray regularly
Before placing your food on your BBQ, it is a good idea to run it on high temp for about 5 - 10 minutes and scrape off the charred remains with a wire brush.
Always follow the manufacturer's instructions that come with your BBQ.
